So, this is a weird week for many of us, isn’t it? It’s been weird for some of us for a few weeks, but it feels like the folks in the White House are finally taking the Covid-19 virus seriously, and more of us are experiencing business and school closings, and starting to feel a lot more nervous about what’s to come.

What better time to start posting on my blog, right?? Wow.

Last week (I can’t believe it was really only seven days ago) I shared an image on Instagram and invited folks to join me to do some inspired writing. Whether you write poetry or flash fiction or even essays, whatever, just write. So this week is the second post, and I decided to start popping it up here as well.

I’ll share an image on Instagram each week, and here as well, and would love for you to comment with a link to whatever you create using the prompt. But you don’t have to. Just use it however you want, and I hope it gives you a little break from the reality of life at the moment.

I am fortunate to work from home, and I will be doing more fiction writing in the weeks to come, and also plan to get my art space cleaned up. Maybe I’ll get my poetry and collage series back online! My husband and son are at home as well – the boy through the end of the month, and my husband through most of April. At least, that’s what the plan is today. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets extended. We’ll see how well we all work together. Who knows, maybe we’ll LOVE it and end up buying a refurbished school bus to travel the country when this is all over. *daydreams*

Thankfully, I bought paper plates to reduce the amount of dishes to be done with us all here 24/7. Small wins, you know?
