My sister found a fantastic site dedicated to doing something for someone else, and I have to share it with you all! (all four of you!!) It’s a wonderful thing to add to your New Year’s Resolution list.

It’s called Spirit Jump, and it’s dedicated to lifting the spirits of those affected by cancer. The founder of the site and program, Meaghan, is interested in matching people who are dealing with cancer and the emotional challenges that diagnosis brings with people who are willing to help “jump” their spirit. Check out her site for all the details.

I’ve submitted my mom’s name, and I’ve signed up to volunteer as well. My “real” job is to raise money for a cancer support organization, so this seems like a natural fit for me to add to my list of things to do in my spare time.

Go sign up – you know you want to.

  1. Ok, that is such a fantastic idea! I went and signed up. My Dad dealt with colon cancer and it does indeed suck.. big time. I’m gonna post this up on my blog, too.

  2. Laurie,

Thanks SO much for your support of our project, not only as a participant, but for reaching out and spreading the word about Spirit Jump through your blogs as well!

We are so excited to have you involved and look forward to working with you more very soon!
