This weekend is the date of one of the most highly publicized non-profit events in our area. Saturday morning people from all over northwest Arkansas will be congregating in Fayetteville to walk, run, shuffle, and sprint to raise money for breast cancer research in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
But this Saturday morning you will not find me at the race, tightening my laces and pulling at my athletic bra straps… and no, it’s not because I don’t own an athletic bra… I will, instead, be digging through clutter and crap in my mom’s storage building and loading up my van to get rid of things at Goshen’s annual clean-up day.
That’s right, my own personal priority list has my mom’s clutter listed above curing cancer.
But I did give money to the cause… so I’m pretty sure I’m still going to get into heaven. Or at the very least, I can wear my pink ribbon without feeling like a hypocrite.
